hi there…

I’m Maria Bearson of Bearson Fit

I became a functional nutrition and health mindset coach after noticing how confusing and overwhelming the nutrition space can feel. There’s so much information about dieting and “being healthy” that it’s hard to know what actually works long term.

In my experience, many diets focus on short-term results rather than sustainable change. They often overlook one of the most important pieces of lasting health: your relationship with food.

The clients who experience the most freedom, confidence, and long-term success are the ones who build a healthier mindset around food. That’s why this has become such a central focus in my coaching practice.

While weight loss can absolutely be a goal, my approach goes deeper. Together, we work on the underlying patterns, habits, and beliefs that shape your choices so your results feel sustainable, aligned, and truly life-giving.

my story…

I started coaching after overcoming my own mindset struggles.

I went from the best shape of my life to my worst in a matter of months. I gained 30+ pounds, and while no one said anything about the rapid weight gain or my post-competition eating habits, they didn’t need to. I knew exactly what I was doing and kept looking the other way.

Constant overeating, ignoring my body, and a toxic mindset around health and fitness led me to that middle photo. It was SO challenging to go through, but I needed that wake up call.

Slowly I figured it out on my own, but more than anything, I wish I had a coach to help me unpack my self-sabotaging behaviors and the thoughts driving them. I needed guidance, accountability, and someone to get me out of my own head. It would have saved me so much time and heartache.

Once I understood what it truly takes to move beyond self-sabotage, I became the coach who helps women do exactly that.

You are not alone. And whatever you’re struggling with is absolutely changeable.

10 fun facts about me…

?3. I married my husband, Michael, in June 2017.

? 4. We have a dog named Chief. Many mistake him for a wirehaired pointer but he’s called a Pudelpointer, a rare breed here in the US.

☀️  5. In May 2021 my husband and I moved from Madison, WI to Lake of the Ozarks, MO. We very much enjoyed our time there, but we moved back to Green Bay, WI in October 2022 to start our family.

? 6. I earned my favorite title, Mom, in February 2023. Rhett made a quick entrance into this world! I also had my baby girl, Charlie, in November 2024. 🙂

? 7. Community has always been important to me. But when I first moved to Green Bay, I didn’t know anyone. So I decided to build what I was missing and became the host of The Mom Walk Collective here in the city. What started as a simple way to connect has given me so much more than friendships. It’s given me purpose. There’s nothing better than watching strangers become friends and connecting local moms with the small businesses that support the events.

? 8. I am a former bodybuilder and in 2018, I won my OCB & WNBF Bikini Pro cards. In order to win a pro card, you have to win 1st place in your division’s height class, and then each height class winner competes against each other for the one pro card at the show.

? 9. I believe that everything happens for a reason and no matter how difficult life may seem at any given moment, there is always a silver lining.

? 10. One of my favorite things in the world is to seeing women gain confidence in themselves and their bodies. Being a part of my clients’ journeys is incredibly rewarding for me. Check out my testimonials page!
